“Assassin’s Creed Shadows” has become the the Ubisoft-developed franchise’s second-highest selling title ever at launch.
On Saturday, Ubisoft announced that the Feudal Japan-set game had crossed 2 million activations. In internal communications obtained Monday by Variety, the developer told employees that player engagement is at “record levels” and that “feedback across moderated, verified platforms — those less affected by review bombing — remains incredibly positive.”
Though no specific sales numbers have been revealed for the game, a source within Ubisoft has confirmed to Variety that “Shadows” had the next-best Day 1 sales revenue for an
