Nearly 30 data breaches affecting at least 1.26 million records and some nationally recognized companies were reported in Georgia last year. Aflac (NYSE: AFL), Intercontinental Hotels Group (NYSE: IHG), the Atlanta Falcons, Kroger (NYSE: KR) and Equifax (NYSE: EFX) were among companies in the Peach State affected by data breaches compiled in the 2016 report by the Identity Theft Resource Center (ITRC) and CyberScout.
