In case you’ve lost track of time this year, and just know that we are past Election Day but haven’t quite made it to Christmas, you might want to pull out your calendar: Thursday is Veterans Day.
The federal holiday, which is always held on the anniversary of the end of World War I, as it used to be known as Armistice Day, commemorates those who have served in the United States Armed Forces.
And while it falls awkwardly in the middle of the work week this year, many businesses in Seattle will still observe the holiday, and certain services may be reduced or closed.
