Husky students and alum have an extra reason to gloat this week, as the University of Washington in Seattle was just ranked 7th in U.S. News and World Report’s Best Global Universities Rankings for 2022.
UW was 8th in last year’s rankings, with the California Institute of Technology (Caltech) narrowly beating it. Now, the Huskies have edged ahead of Caltech, which also dropped in its ranking from last year. In terms of public institutions in the U.S., UW held on to its spot at number two.
Excellence in subjects related to the COVID-19 pandemic propelled the university forward in this year’s rankings. Among the 1,750 institutions surveyed in the report,
