A landmark in the heart of Seattle could soon be getting a facelift and possibly a new downtown school to serve students nearby.
City leaders announced a new partnership with Seattle Public Schools to replace the 74-year-old Memorial Stadium at the Seattle Center. The new partnership builds off of an agreement forged in 2017 under then Mayor Tim Burgess to redevelop the stadium and other school facilities on Seattle Center grounds.
