Seattle City Council approves bill limiting SPD's use of less-lethal weapons during demonstrations

The Seattle City Council unanimously approved new restrictions on less-lethal weapons used by the Seattle Police Department (SPD).

The new limitations passed Monday come after public outcry over the use of crowd control munitions like tear gas, pepper spray and flash bangs on protesters last summer following the murder of George Floyd.
