Seattle has long been lauded as one of the fastest-growing metros in the U.S., but new data from the U.S. Census Bureau shows that one South King County city is outpacing it.
Kent was named one of the 10 fastest-growing U.S. cities with a population of at least 50,000 people, growing by 44% over the last ten years.
Other cities that made the list included Meridian, Idaho; South Jordan, Utah; Irvine, California; and Conroe, Texas. Buckeye, Arizona — a suburb of Phoenix — was the fastest growing U.S. city with a staggering 80% increase in population over the last ten years.
