During a Friday hearing in King County Superior Court, former Seattle Seahawks cornerback Richard Sherman pleaded not guilty to five criminal charges against him.
State prosecutors are charging Sherman with one count each of driving under the influence, resisting arrest, endangerment of roadway workers, criminal trespass and malicious mischief. All are misdemeanors. His next court date is scheduled for Aug. 13.
Sherman was arrested in Redmond early Wednesday morning after police say he crashed a vehicle into a cement freeway barrier while intoxicated and then tried to force his way into his in-laws’ house. He fought with officers who tried to arrest him and a police K9 was used
