Over a year after the outbreak of COVID-19 caused Seattle’s tourist destinations to shutter, most attractions have started to welcome guests back with new guidelines and protocols.
All except one: the Ballard Locks.
But that is expected to change this month as the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers officially announced Friday the agency would begin reopening parts of the Hiram M. Chittenden Locks, including parts of the visitor’s center and the pedestrian bridges cyclists, runners and walkers often use to cross between Ballard and Magnolia.
