Everett children’s museum suffers financial blow after federal funding cut

The federal government abruptly canceled a $250,000 that was awarded to the Imagine Children’s Museum to help expand its science preschool program.

EVERETT, Wash. — The largest children’s museum in the Pacific Northwest suffered a significant financial blow after the Trump administration cut funding for museums, libraries, and cultural centers nationwide.

On April 15, the Imagine Children’s Museum received a letter from the federal government canceling a $250,000 grant. The letter arrived a week after the stated termination date of April 8.
