The FBI is seeking public assistance as laser strikes on aircraft in Washington escalate. Hundreds of cases have been reported.
SEATAC, Wash. — The Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) is investigating after hundreds of laser strikes on aircraft were reported in Washington state since March last year.
There were 438 reports of laser strikes since March, according to the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA).
Neighborhoods with reported incidents in Seattle include SeaTac, Vashon, White Center, Burien, West Kent, Lake Meridian Park, East Hill and Des Moines, according to the FBI.
