Everett’s new ‘Drone as First Responder’ program could launch by Fourth of July

Everett Police Department will deploy drones as first responders starting this summer.

EVERETT, Wash. — Starting this summer, the Everett Police Department will put drones in the air as first responders. 

The program will become the second of its kind in the state, behind the Redmond Police Department.

“Technology continues to advance and it’s really the job of law enforcement to keep up,” said Captain Robert Goetz with the police department.
