‘Toy Story 5’ Opens With an ‘Unbelievable’ Buzz Lightyear Scene and the Plot Is ‘A Lot About Jessie,’ Reveals Tim Allen: Woody and Buzz ‘Realign’

Tim Allen recently spoke to WIVB and revealed some of the first plot specifics for “Toy Story 5,” which is coming to theaters in June 2026 from Disney and Pixar. Allen is reprising the voice of Buzz Lightyear, who he says is front and center during the movie’s “unbelievable” opening sequence. The sequel will then pivot and focus largely on Jessie, the cowgirl first introduced in “Toy Story 2” and memorably voiced by Joan Cusack.
