Tulip Festival: Colorblind farmer welcomes world to ‘see’ Skagit Valley

Andrew Miller is perhaps the only colorblind tulip farmer in the world. His Chief Color Officer, and wife, Holly, helps bring the dream to life.

MOUNT VERNON, Wash. — At the Skagit Valley Tulip Festival, you are undoubtedly looking for those “popping” pinks and “ravishing” reds.

For one farmer, who has his hands deep in the soil to plant those tulip bulbs, he is seeing his hard work, from a perspective only 4.5% of people in the world would see it.
