The fire marks the fourth Tesla-related vandalism incident in Washington state this week.
SEATTLE — A Tesla Model S was set on fire in Seattle’s Capitol Hill neighborhood on Thursday night, according to the Seattle Police Department.
A witness told police that a man threw gasoline on the Tesla, lit it on fire and then ran off.
Police say the right front tire area of the car was damaged. A quarter of the panel, the hood and the car’s battery all melted.
The Seattle Fire Department arrived and put the fire out. Police say they are investigating the incident as an arson.
