Two Washington universities are accused of violating Trump’s ban on DEI programs.
SEATTLE — The Department of Education released a list of universities on Friday that are now under investigation for allegedly violating Trump’s ban on Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI) initiatives, and two schools in Washington are on it.
In a Feb. 14 letter from the agency, schools were notified that they were obligated to “end the use of racial preferences and stereotypes in education programs and activities,” with the threat that institutions that don’t comply will lose federal funding – a promise President Donald Trump delivered on from his campaign.
