The vehicle struck a barrier, crashing into the northbound express lanes near Lake City Way.
SEATTLE — Two 19-year-olds were taken to Harborview Medical Center in “stable condition” following a crash on Interstate 5 that shut down the northbound express lanes for more than two hours Wednesday night.
The crash occurred just north of the Lake City Way exit around 7 p.m. The vehicle the male and female were in hit a barrier, rolled, and ended up in the express lanes.
There were no major injuries and no signs of impairment, according to Washington State Trooper Rick Johnson.
