Preliminary findings suggest the fire originated from a small refrigerator inside the motorhome.
SEQUIM, Wash. — A five-year-old has died and a one-year-old was injured in a fire in Port Angeles, according to the Clallam County Sheriff’s Office.
Clallam Fire District 3 said the fire broke out in a motorhome on the 1300 block of Gasman Road on Sunday evening. Crews responded to the structure at around 7:43 p.m.
Firefighters rapidly intervened, however, despite their efforts, the five-year-old died, while the one-year-old was taken to Olympic Medical Center, then later Harborview Medical Center for treatment. The one-year-old’s condition is unknown at this time.
