As the final group made the turn to the back nine, Collin Morikawa held a three-shot advantage and looked destined to win on the PGA Tour for the first time since October 2023.
Up to that point, he had played near-flawless golf, relying heavily on his iron play to pluck his way around Bay Hill, perhaps the most challenging course that PGA Tour pros will play all year.
