This is shaping up to be one of the worst flu seasons in several years.
SEATTLE — Two children have died in King County due to complications from the flu, according to Public Health – Seattle & King County.
The first was an elementary school-aged child who died Feb. 14. The second was a preschool-aged child who died Feb. 21.
These are the first pediatric flu deaths in King County since the 2022-2023 flu season, which was one of the worst in recent history. This flu season is shaping up to be similarly severe.
