The Kraken bring back several first-round draft picks in the trade.
SEATTLE — The Kraken traded two popular veteran players Wednesday as the NHL’s deadline for moves nears.
Yanni Gourde and Oliver Bjorkstrand are headed to the Tampa Bay Lightning as part of a three-team deal that also involves the Detroit Red Wings. The Kraken also will send a 2026 fifth-round draft pick to Tampa Bay.
In return, the Kraken will receive a 2026 and 2027 first-round draft choice, both of which are top-10 protected, from the Lightning. Tampa Bay is also including a 2025 second-round draft pick and forward Michael Eyssimont.
