Restraining order against estranged husband preceded Kingston mother’s killing

Officials believe the killing happened when three children were home.

KINGSTON, Wash. — Kitsap County deputies are investigating the death of a mother in her own home, with three of her children inside.

Police allege the husband, estranged from his family, killed his wife around 1:30 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 27.

“It’s crazy,” said Jake Johnson, who has lived across the street from the family for six years. “This is the kind of thing you hear about on the news.”
