Police: Man shot in Seattle’s U District in ‘unprovoked’ attack

SEATTLE — Seattle police are looking for a suspect who shot a man in an “unprovoked” attack in the University District Wednesday night.

Officers responded to the 4700 block of University Way Northeast just after 10 p.m. Wednesday. They found a man with a gunshot wound in his abdomen. He was treated at the scene and transported to Harborview Medical Center in “serious, but stable condition,” according to police. The hospital told KING 5 on Thursday morning that the victim’s condition is “satisfactory.”
