3.4 magnitude earthquake strikes western Washington

The earthquake was recorded at 3:45 a.m. just southeast of Auburn along the Green River.

SEATTLE — A magnitude 3.4 earthquake struck near Auburn Saturday morning with reports of it being felt in Tacoma and Seattle.

The earthquake reportedly happened at 3:45 a.m. at a depth of 25.3 kilometers, according to the U.S. Geological Survey (USGS).

The earthquake was recorded just southeast of Auburn along the Green River.

KING 5 viewers reported feeling in Tacoma and Seattle and as far as Olympia and Camano Island.

This is the second earthquake to happen in the Pacific Northwest in as many days.
