“The Quiz With Balls,” the high-stakes game show hosted by “Saturday Night Live” alum Jay Pharoah, has been renewed for Season 2 at Fox.
Each episode of the series pits two families against each other, answering multiple-choice trivia questions and competing for $100,000. The contestants stand over a pool of water with giant balls looming above them. If they choose the correct answer, the ball rolls down and stops just before hitting them. If they screw up, the ball pummels down the ramp and whacks them into the water. As each team loses members, the questions get harder, until one “dry” family member remains and plays for the $100,000
