New bill urges less tolerance for minors repeatedly caught with guns in Washington

King County Prosecuting Attorney Leesa Manion said she is seeing a common thread among juveniles charged with serious gun violence.

SEATTLE — This week, a 16-year-old from Tacoma was charged with first-degree murder, among other charges. He is being accused of shooting and killing a 21-year-old driver in Kent while he was stopped at a red light.
