Happy Gilmore’s Christopher McDonald re-enacts hilarious Shooter McGavin scene at Phoenix Open

SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. — One of the most famous golf scenes ever got a classic re-enactment on Saturday morning at the WM Phoenix Open.

Actor Christopher McDonald, who not only played in Wednesday’s Pro-Am at TPC Scottsdale but also depicted Shooter McGavin in Happy Gilmore, decided to have some fun with fans on Saturday morning. While sprinting away from the incoming crowd, Gilmore tried to put on a Gold Jacket, evoking one of the closing scenes from the 1996 classic.
