The HOV lane is now open to traffic.
RENTON, Wash. — A semi-truck fire has closed most lanes of Interstate 405 northbound near Renton early Tuesday morning.
The truck rolled and then caught fire near state Route 169 just after 4 a.m. There is a backup stretching several miles behind the crash. There is also a connected backup on state Route 167.
Traffic is getting by using the SR 169 on-and-off ramps, and the HOV lane, but drivers are asked to use alternate routes at this time if they can.
