Children are typically tasked with caring for their parents as they age, but what happens when aging parents have to take care of a disabled child?
ANACORTES, Wash. — Iver Johnson and his son Curt love tinkering with model trains in their basement.
It’s a special bond the two of them share.
“It makes him happy,” Iver Johnson said. “That’s all I want. There are so many things he can’t do.”
Since he was just eight months old, Curt Johnson has suffered severe seizures that leave him unconscious and unable to breathe.
