SEATTLE — A woman is alive in the hospital after an “extraordinary” crash where she hit a building in Seattle’s First Hill neighborhood.
Seattle police say officers responded to an area near the 100 block of University Street around 6 p.m. after reports of a vehicle collision.
At the scene, police determined the woman was attempting to make a U-turn at the intersection of University Street and Boren Avenue when she struck a parked vehicle, officers say.
The woman then continued driving onto the sidewalk through a railing and onto “a ramp attached to an apartment building,” police say.
