CHEHALIS, Wash. — A teen is accused of attempted murder after he and another inmate attempted to escape from a Lewis County juvenile detention facility on Wednesday.
Chehalis police said officers responded to an escape attempt at the facility on Southwest Pacific Avenue around 7:15 p.m. Wednesday. They found two female officers who had been assaulted during an escape attempt by two teens.
A 17-year-old boy was booked into police custody at the scene and taken to the Lewis County Jail on suspicion of robbery in the first degree
