SEATTLE — A Seattle-based real estate company laid off nearly 50 employees last week.
Redfin confirmed 46 layoffs to KING 5 on Monday morning, saying those affected were “primarily managers in our headquarters, program, and field leadership roles.”
The company said it still is “aggressively” pursuing agents and no real estate agents were impacted.
Redfin conducted significant layoffs back in 2022, laying off over 1,200 employees due to slowing home sales.
In May 2024, Redfin also paid over $9 million to settle federal lawsuits that claim U.S. homeowners were saddled with artificially inflated broker commissions when they sold their home as
