SEATTLE — A special delivery Sunday evening: dozens of animals from Los Angeles-area shelters are now at Seattle Humane.
This comes as a response to overcrowding at shelters in Los Angeles County as the wildfires continue to rage.
“It feels really great to see them come off the plane,” said Brandon Macz, a spokesperson with Seattle Humane. “They’re not riding first class. We can’t wait to get them out of their crates.”
And eventually into their forever homes, with help from Seattle Humane.
“When these things happen, we’re one of the first shelters to really step up and say we can,” Macz said.
