American Cinema Editors is pivoting its 75th Eddie Awards, which is slated to be held on Jan. 18, from a black-tie gala to a “community building” fundraiser in response to the devastating Los Angeles wildfires.
ACE informed members on Saturday that the honorary society would “still have the privilege to acknowledge the artistry and hard work of all our honorees and nominees, but also have a chance to give back to those affected by the recent tragedies. While it may not be the night of festivities we are used to, we are proud to have our 75th annual Eddies event be filled with purpose, togetherness and recognition.”
