Metro is announcing new safety measures after a bus driver was killed while on duty in mid-December.
SEATTLE — King County Metro has begun enacting new safety measures for its drivers almost a month after one was killed while on duty in Seattle.
Metro said on Wednesday operator compartments was among the demands issued by Amalgamated Transit Union 587 president Greg Woodfill during a press conference after Metro driver Shawn Yim was stabbed and killed following an altercation with a passenger.
