OLYMPIA, Wash. — The father of a teen who died of a drug overdose in Olympia last month hopes his son’s death serves as a cautionary tale.
“It is the worst nightmare that you never thought was imaginable, and you never wake up from,” said Aaron Ping.
His son, Avery Ping, died December 19, 2024.
This week Olympia police arrested a 33-year-old man suspect of selling Avery Ping the drugs that killed him. The man faces a controlled substance homicide charge. KING 5 is not naming him because he has not been formally
