Sheriff Keith Swank vows to clean up streets, tackle violent crime with new strategies

Pierce County Sheriff Keith Swank was elected by voters in November and was sworn into office on Jan. 1.

TACOMA, Wash. — The new Pierce County Sheriff is wrapping up his first week in office. Voters elected Sheriff Keith Swank to the position in November, replacing Ed Troyer who did not seek reelection.

Swank was sworn in on Jan. 1.
