Blumhouse and Atomic Monster, the newly converged horror producers, will unwrap yet another iconic movie monster. “The Mummy” is coming from Lee Cronin, director of the campy and cult-approved “Evil Dead Rise.”
Cronin will write and direct the project, which has been dated for April 17, 2026, by New Line Cinema.
“This will be unlike any ‘Mummy’ movie you ever laid eyeballs on before. I’m digging deep into the earth to raise something very ancient and very frightening,” Cronin said in a statement.
