Redmond police investigating after pot shop worker sprayed victim with fire extinguisher

Police learned of the incident after surveillance footage was shared on social media. According to the owner of the business, the employee has been fired.

REDMOND, Wash. — Redmond police are investigating a “possible assault” after an employee was seen on surveillance video spraying a person with a fire extinguisher outside Hashtag Cannabis on Dec. 8.

A spokesperson for the department said officers began looking into the incident after the footage was circulated on social media on Wednesday, Dec. 18.

Public Information Officer Jill Green told KING 5 that the department received calls alerting them to the social media posts.
