Snohomish Regional Fire and Rescue says it was an electrical fire.
MONROE, Wash. — Monroe High School (MHS) was forced to close Monday after an electrical fire broke out on campus.
Snohomish Regional Fire and Rescue (SRFR) shared on social media that crews responded to The Commons at MHS around 7 a.m. after an electrical fire started. The flames were extinguished within 10 minutes and crews were checking the building for any extensions of the fire, SRFR said.
A Monroe School District spokesperson told KING 5 that school was closed for the day due to the fire.
