SEATTLE — The union that represents engineering employees at Boeing announced Friday that hundreds more of its members will be laid off.
The Society of Professional Engineering Employees in Aerospace (SPEEA) said 222 members received layoff notices this week, including 184 engineers and 38 people in technical roles.
SPEEA, which represents 17,000 employees at Boeing facilities in Washington, Oregon, California and Utah, did not say how many of the laid off workers were in Washington state.
