‘Swatting calls’ reported at several western Washington schools

WASHINGTON, USA — Authorities across western Washington responded to vague threats made against at least four local schools Wednesday afternoon, prompting widespread concern and a heavy law enforcement presence.

After thoroughly searching the schools, investigators determined the threats were nothing more than a hoax. 

Despite the false alarm, law enforcement experts warn that these types of incidents can still pose significant risks.
