Dense Fog Advisory expires after hazardous driving conditions throughout Puget Sound area

Visibility was down to 1/2 to 1/4 mile around much of the Puget Sound area Wednesday morning.

SEATTLE — There was low visibility on the roads amid a period of dense fog in the Puget Sound region Wednesday morning. 

The National Weather Service issued a Dense Fog Advisory that expired at 10 a.m. Wednesday. The advisory impacted the Hood Canal area, Bellevue and surrounding areas, Bremerton, Everett, Seattle, Tacoma and the Southwest Interior. 

Visibility was between a quarter and half a mile, according to the NWS. This made driving conditions potentially hazardous for those making early morning commutes.
