Stay Healthy Street in Seattle, Wash.
The Seattle Department of Transportation announced that it is temporarily opening a new “Keep Moving” street on a portion of Lake Washington Boulevard starting Friday through Feb. 21 for those walking, biking and rolling.
The car-free street will be located between the Stan Sayres Boat Launch and Mount Baker Beach, and is meant to provide more space for recreation and social distancing amid the COVID-19 pandemic.
The temporary dates were chosen in conjunction with Seattle Public School’s (SPS) mid-winter break which is scheduled for Feb. 15-19 over Presidents Day weekend.
