As rumored, Kendrick Lamar appears to have new music on the way, and on Friday morning he dropped a minute-long teaser titled “GNX” that is presumably part of a larger work.
The song features a siren-like drone in the background while many multitracked Lamar vocals create a complex, chant-like melody more similar in feel to many of the songs from his most recent album, 2022’s “Mr. Morale and the High Steppers” than his blockbuster Drake-dissing track “Not Like Us,” released earlier this year, which topped the Billboard Hot 100.
