SIFF Cinema Egyptian closes for ‘foreseeable future’ after significant pipe leak

The leak happened Tuesday night on the fourth floor of the building.

SEATTLE — The SIFF Cinema Egyptian in Seattle’s Capitol Hill neighborhood is closed for the foreseeable future after a significant pipe leak on the main line occurred on Tuesday night. 

The leak happened inside the Seattle Central College Fine Arts Building, where the Egyptian is housed. The closure is expected to last several months. 

The leak “caused damage to multiple floors leading to the closure. Continued assessment of the damage and subsequent repairs will all be led and managed by Seattle Colleges Fine Arts.”
