Former UW football player pleads guilty to assault charge

Diesel Gordon pleaded guilty to assault for attacking a cyclist. His sentence was deferred for two years.

SEATTLE — New video shows the attack on a cyclist in Seattle’s University District that led to two former Husky football players being charged with assault.

Tylin “Tybo” Rogers and Diesel Gordon allegedly attacked a cyclist on March 11, according to court documents. The two initially pleaded not guilty. 

Gordon changed his plea on Aug. 12. He pleaded guilty to assault and his reckless driving charge was dismissed. His sentence was deferred for two years – it will be dismissed if he has no new criminal violations
