Police say bullet from drive-by shooting hit window of Seattle high school

No one was physically injured in the shooting.

SEATTLE — A lockdown at Nova High School and shelter-in-place order at Garfield High School are lifted following a shooting Thursday afternoon.

Seattle police initially reported Garfield High School was also locked down. The school was in shelter-in-place out of an abundance of caution.

Around 1:45 p.m., officers responded to a 911 call along East Cherry Street for reports of six or seven gunshots near Nova High School. 

Employees reported one bullet went through a second-story window of the school. 

No injuries were reported.
