LPGA deserves all eyes on women’s golf after terrific Solheim Cup

Last week, the most-watched golf tournament did not feature men.

The Solheim Cup saw 657,000 viewers on Sunday, more than double the coverage saw in 2023.

Team USA won 15.5 to 12.5 over Team Europe, marking their first Solheim Cup victory since 2017. Last year, both teams finished 14-14, but Team Europe retained the Cup because they won it in 2021.

That Sunday, 277,000 viewers watched. Granted, it was in Spain, so the time difference likely affected the ratings. Regardless, it was fantastic to see women’s golf lead the PGA Tour, DP World Tour and LIV Golf.
