LAKEWOOD, Wash. — A 3-year-old boy died after falling into a septic tank in Lakewood Sunday afternoon, authorities said.
Pierce County Sheriff’s Department spokesperson Darren Moss said the boy was playing with an older sibling in their backyard at a house in the 10300 block of 93rd Street Court SW.
Moss said the boy walked into the neighbor’s yard, lifted the lid of the septic tank and fell in. There is no fence separating the homes, according to Moss.
